New boots from Topshop

I ordered a pair of boots on the web of Topshop last Thursday night. I got the email informing me that it had been sent out on Monday. Today I got it! It was so quick this time. I expected it would last ten week days or later. The hikers boots were brown with fur on the ankle top and high heels. I tried them on, very comfortable. I will probably wear them tomorrow!

Miumiu SS 2011 stars and flowers

MiuMiu

As spring and summer shows are going on in all the fashion capitals, we have seen a lot of new trends and various styles for the next year which is bound to be exciting.
Just as last year's bird prints, this year, Miumiu were inspired by stars and flowers. In the latest show, we can see a wonderful show with so many colors and prints, as impressive, astonishing and charming as the brand is always shown.
The accessories are also part of the chic looks. We can see shining colors in handbags, slim strings wrapping the ankle around. It is not strange to see stars and flowers in shoes as they form the unity of the whole show.
To be honest, I do like the birds' print last year better than this year's stars. I think birds' print is more fun and innovative, and cuter.

Jeffrey Campbell boots

Jeffrey Campbell shoes
I bought a new pair of leather boots from Nilson store yesterday. I was so excited that I could finally get the last pair, since I tried them on some days ago and liked it a lot. I was impressed by their comfortableness and cool style. I have many high heel shoes but seldom of them can keep my feet unhurt if I walk for a long time. But this pair is so comfortable when I was wearing them. I believed immediately that I could walk with them even for traveling. When I was a little hesitated by the high price without any discount, I found them gone on saturday which made me very regretful. I blamed myself that I should have been more determined if I loved something very much which was just what I needed at that time. Yesterday, I dropped by the store and found the only pair with size 37 by accident. I tried on again and confirmed my feelings towards the boots. This time I was no hesitated again. I was so happy to get them as the cashier told me it was the last pair.
Here it is! It is super high! That's what I like very much. I always wear high heel shoes which becomes my distinct personal style in the office now. The top can be folded down a little which makes a different look.

The brand is Jeffrey Campbell which is from the USA. The signature style for this brand is probably cool and punk, maybe a little fetishism and dark glamorous. I think they are so cool and standing out. Although I am not that kind of girl, it is still cool to have some of their shoes. You can have your own style by accessorizing with these shoes. The following pictures are from the brand, too.

Derek Lam 2010Fall accessory

The great designer has started to design accessories in the recent years. Here are some of my favorite design from the new collection.

Bags
The bags are simple, but elegant and suitable for working women.

Shoes
I really love the boots! They are platform booties; they look warm and comfortable. This kind of heels has no problem in walking a long distance, I think.

Asia-American Designers wow fashion world!

American fashion awards ceremony was held at Lincoln Center in June, an event often likened to the Oscars of the fashion world. This year it was quite special, as the major awards to the best new designers of the year went to three Asia-Americans: Richard Chai for men’s wear, Jason Wu for women’s wear and Alexander Wang for accessories.
It was the first time that all three prizes given by the Council of Fashion Designers of America were awarded to designers who are Asian-American. At the forefront of fashion stage in the US, many of the most promising new designers are of Asian descent, a group that includes Mr. Wang and Mr. Wu; Thakoon, one of the stars of the documentary “The September Issue,” about Vogue magazine; Prabal Gurung; Phillip Lim; and Derek Lam — names that are increasingly likely to represent the future of fashion.
This group of new designers has no consistent aesthetic style among the members, unlike the avant-garde design of Japanese designers who took Paris by storm in the 1980s, such as Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo and Issey Miyake. Alexander Wang’s street style looks, Mr. Lam’s polished dresses, the colorful mash-up prints of Peter Som etc. None would care to identify their styles as “Asian-American.”
Their brands are gaining popularity in Asia and I believe that fashion will be more exciting when encountering a cross-cultural challenge.

Ann Demeulemeester Autumn/winter 2010

Ann Demeulemeester Autumn/winter 2010
Being one of the most successful members of "Antwerp Six", Ann has still been wowing the runway with her strong attitude and personality. I came across the catwalk photos and became attracted immediately. This season is full of leather and feather, just like her style. I like the bias cut collar of the coats, the cool long pants, and the match of soft fabric with leather. Women in these clothes are strong and calm, mature, elegant and powerful Different materials contribute to the diversity of the whole look even though they are in the same or similar colors. The cool accessories include necklaces with many ropes, leather gloves which can be short or long.

Winter look 1

As it is classic black outside, just as heavy as the chilly weather, you should get yourself more fun and changing inside. The blouse from Topshop is light and flowing which forms a contrast with the warm coat. High heel boots with bows in front are so elegant and feminine that will completely show your confidence and chic taste.

I bought a white blouse in Kappahl store in Kista. It was felt very comfortable and I liked it immediately.

Today, I dressed it with a black belt and waistcoat from Karen Millen and Hat from HM.

Make your neck warm and beautiful! Scarfs-------

Probably you are still immersed in the summer sunshine, but do remember to start to prepare for your autumn wardrobe! Scarf, as one the the key accessories in cold weather, is definitely something that you need to care about.
This week, net-a-porter has some new items added, let's see what luxury brands bring us to warm our neck:

Simplicity is safe and easy to match many different looks. Like white and black are mostly suitable for all. But if you look for a different mood, and maybe you need to be standing out a little, a good choice is color and prints. Animal prints are definitely what you should spend on. You can find them in either luxury design or fast fashion. Some animal prints with surprising colors or some changes look make you chic and sexy. Wool and cashmere, as important fabrics for winter scarfs, will keep you away from chilliness.
When you have a fashionable jacket or coat, don't forget to wear a suitable scarf to perfect your style from head to toe.

Miu Miu New bag-- how to match it

Fall is coming. Let's start to plan our autumn and winter wardrobe. Miu Miu's new bags for the coming season are definitely a good choice. It is not necessary to wear all luxury brands to form a new look. For 20s working girl, you can have a luxury bag or a pair of luxury shoes, then fast fashion clothes which can show your aesthetics best. Remember-

Fast + Luxury fashion = Smart

Here are some of my suggesting looks from new collections, ranging from fast fashion like HM, Mango or topshop, to Miu Miu's bags.

Power of heels- Raphael Young shoes fall 2010

I just know a new designer Raphael Young on Vogue. I really liked his design. Like his shoes, his life is also a legendary. He is a Korean-born, French-raised young man. Look at these photos, a typical artist's face and attitude- very individual and unique.
httpwww.modemonline.comfashionmini-web-sitesfashion-brandsreferencesraphaelyoung
He was descended from a family of shoe makers and uses artistic craftsmanship to his footwear that approaches couture. He declares “Leather is my universe” which indicates his aesthetics and style. He employs a variety of exotic materials from elephant, deer and others, shaping them into a strong structure of shoes, endowing high heels with more powerful statement.

New collection   Fall 2010

The blue one is so gorgeous! It is like a piece of art work. All the ankle boots look very cool and strong. Black and white are minimalist but different materials create different visual looks. If it were not for those 'strange' heels, the shoes may be a little simple. The futurist design becomes the symbol of his brand spirit.

Here is part of an interview from a web. I think it is good to understand his ideals and concepts.

Why did you go into designing shoes?
I was quite a reserved child, a romantic dreamer as you say in English. But I always found an expressive outlet in the process of creating. And as I always had a strong interest in women as they are, in my opinion, the most beautiful and intriguing creatures I have ever encountered. But it was through my family that, without a doubt, I fell into the business and art of shoe-making. It was my Uncle who taught me everything about the true craftsmanship of shoe-making, and it was in his atelier, that I would spend every holiday, learning and working on shoe-shaping and the whole mechanics.

What kind of woman do you see wearing your shoes?
I don’t really think of a particular woman when I’m designing my shoes. I don’t have a muse, not of a real woman at least. I just want women to feel good in my shoes, I mean really good. Firstly the shoes need to feel comfortable and secondly look amazing. I would like my shoes to bring women confidence, bring them a bit of audaciousness…I just want to add beauty to women, never ever diminish them. I have always seen women as the most perfect creatures ever as I only want to place that beauty in emphasis with my shoes.

When it comes to heels, how high is too high?
I don't really consider height as a fundamental aspect in the process of designing shoes, as I initially see things more from a technical point of view. Because you see, for me, it's all about the bending and arch of the shape and how it defines the shoe. But you know, when you're creating - sky's the limit and that's how I want to keep things.

2010/2011 Autumn and winter fashion trends and accessories 1 Power

The authority in fashion industry in China has released a trend report of accessory for new autumn and winter. Beautiful and fluent lines are definitely the focus of this season. The patchwork of different fabrics, the smart  change of light and color and some more primitive materials all make this season bold and creative. The green concept is getting popular in fashion design. Living on earth, people can be much closer to the nature.

Theme One  Power
Color trend
The colors are warm and comfortable, like sit in a comfortable home with soft interior textile. Brown, Chocolate and gray etc.

Inspiration
Something simple but elegant, fuse concept into the country style. This brings us a new ecological fashion.

Trend application
Bag-- leather, weaving details, rivet in similar color and carving prints all decorate the color of bags.  Hat-- colorful knitting hat, or just a big warm scarf wrap your head up. The structure is soft and puffy. Dark red leather is a good choice for gloves, it is long and made to look like old ones.
