Jeffrey Campbell boots

Jeffrey Campbell shoes
I bought a new pair of leather boots from Nilson store yesterday. I was so excited that I could finally get the last pair, since I tried them on some days ago and liked it a lot. I was impressed by their comfortableness and cool style. I have many high heel shoes but seldom of them can keep my feet unhurt if I walk for a long time. But this pair is so comfortable when I was wearing them. I believed immediately that I could walk with them even for traveling. When I was a little hesitated by the high price without any discount, I found them gone on saturday which made me very regretful. I blamed myself that I should have been more determined if I loved something very much which was just what I needed at that time. Yesterday, I dropped by the store and found the only pair with size 37 by accident. I tried on again and confirmed my feelings towards the boots. This time I was no hesitated again. I was so happy to get them as the cashier told me it was the last pair.
Here it is! It is super high! That's what I like very much. I always wear high heel shoes which becomes my distinct personal style in the office now. The top can be folded down a little which makes a different look.

The brand is Jeffrey Campbell which is from the USA. The signature style for this brand is probably cool and punk, maybe a little fetishism and dark glamorous. I think they are so cool and standing out. Although I am not that kind of girl, it is still cool to have some of their shoes. You can have your own style by accessorizing with these shoes. The following pictures are from the brand, too.

Derek Lam 2010Fall accessory

The great designer has started to design accessories in the recent years. Here are some of my favorite design from the new collection.

Bags
The bags are simple, but elegant and suitable for working women.

Shoes
I really love the boots! They are platform booties; they look warm and comfortable. This kind of heels has no problem in walking a long distance, I think.

Asia-American Designers wow fashion world!

American fashion awards ceremony was held at Lincoln Center in June, an event often likened to the Oscars of the fashion world. This year it was quite special, as the major awards to the best new designers of the year went to three Asia-Americans: Richard Chai for men’s wear, Jason Wu for women’s wear and Alexander Wang for accessories.
It was the first time that all three prizes given by the Council of Fashion Designers of America were awarded to designers who are Asian-American. At the forefront of fashion stage in the US, many of the most promising new designers are of Asian descent, a group that includes Mr. Wang and Mr. Wu; Thakoon, one of the stars of the documentary “The September Issue,” about Vogue magazine; Prabal Gurung; Phillip Lim; and Derek Lam — names that are increasingly likely to represent the future of fashion.
This group of new designers has no consistent aesthetic style among the members, unlike the avant-garde design of Japanese designers who took Paris by storm in the 1980s, such as Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo and Issey Miyake. Alexander Wang’s street style looks, Mr. Lam’s polished dresses, the colorful mash-up prints of Peter Som etc. None would care to identify their styles as “Asian-American.”
Their brands are gaining popularity in Asia and I believe that fashion will be more exciting when encountering a cross-cultural challenge.
