Miu Miu bag for 2010 Shanghai World Expo

While the economic recession has impacted the luxury business in the whole Western world, Chinese consumers are ready to embrace the luxury wind newly arrived at the country.
No wonder that the sensitive luxury brands resort to Asian market, especially China, to find a more exciting solution of survival.

After 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, 2010 Shanghai World Expo has again showed the power and energy of the country which draws a great attention from the world. Fashion brands have followed the so-called 'Political Effect' by which I mean that fashion is created in relation to some news events, political power or political persons. In this way, they can get much attention as the political issue they intend to connect.

Miu Miu has no exception. The collection exclusively for the World Expo has definitely fabulous design as she has always done.
Miu Miu Capsule Edition Asia 2010, a collection for traveling, includes suitcase, handbag and purse, cosmetic bags, wind jackets and shoes etc. Excellent leather material, soft and shining, plaid texture and bright colors, all show the spirit of the brand and has gained widely popularity by young girls.

Prada has also a collection for the expo, named 'Futural City', which combines the image of Shanghai as an international cosmopolitan and the signs of nature, showing the modern ideology created by a fashion kingdom. I have to say that the butterflies, the green leaves and grass, colorful flowers, complete a vivid lifely dream. Extrovert and chic young ladies would definitely buy these design ideas.
Other exclusive items for the world expo include>>>

Lady Dior

Chanel
This Chinese Doll bag is so special! It reminded me of wood doll girl I had seen a lot when I was young. They always looked like an egg or two eggs(one head, one body). They had a big smile just like this one and they had the same hairstyle as this. The Chanel Logo 'Double C' is creatively integrated into the neckline of the clothes, under which we can see some Chinese 'Pan Kou'(a traditional button for Qipao). I really love this bag, so cute, so innovative and most interestingly, it puts traditional Chinese culture into the fashion frontier.
